Register:Registration opens Monday, February 11th,
2008. Registration form & Payment must be turned in @ the
Recreation Center by or before Tuesday, February 26th by
6:00 p.m. Teams who register early have the best opportunity
to specify which time works best for their team each week.
(Note your game times will be the same each week) If a preferred
time slot is full, teams must choose a different time. In the
event there are not enough teams
to fill a specific league, teams might play an hour ahead or
hour behind the requested time (TBA @ the managers meeting).
All team captains must attend the captain’s meeting on Wednesday,
February 27th @ 6.00 p.m.
at the UT- Recreation Center in classroom A. During the managers
meeting, one representative from each team will receive league
information, rules, as well as a mock schedule to ensure any
unforeseen scheduling conflicts can be resolved or avoided.
A FINAL SCHEDULE WILL BE
E-MAILED TO EACH TEAM CAPTAIN AS WELL AS POSTED IN THE RECREATION
CENTER February 29th BY 12:00 NOON.

Cost
to Play:$150 for UTHSC-H Student & Recreation
Members Teams, $175 for all Other Teams (must be affiliated
with UT/TMC). Fee includes officials, game balls, pinnies
and awards. The league minimum is 8 teams (4 Men /4 Co-ed)
and maximum is 16 Men’s & 16 Co-ed teams. Full payment
must accompany registration form and is due by 6pm February
26th to be eligible. Since there is limited number of teams
per division, priority is on a first
registered/first paid basis.
League Information: All teams must have
a minimum 75% of students or employees UTHSC-H or an affiliated
TMC Institution. Each team must have a minimum of eight eligible
players, with a maximum of 20 eligible players per team roster.
All players must be at least 18 years of age to play.
UTHSC Softball League will run approx. 3-5 weeks including playoffs
and runs the weeks of March 17th thru April 8th, with playoffs
the week of April 14th, pending any weather cancellations. Games
are played on Monday & Tuesday nights 6:30, 7:20, 8:10, & 9:00
pm. All games will be
played at the UT Recreation Center fields, located off of Knight
Road near the TMC entrance sign 54. You can park in the Recreation
Center overflow lot and walk to the fields. |
