Cost
to Play:$3 for UTHSC-H Student & Recreation
Members, $5 for all Others (must be affiliated with UT/TMC).
Fee includes scheduling & awards. The league minimum
is 8 players (4 men /4 women) and maximum is 24 Men & 8
Women players. All players must be at least 18 years
of age to play.
All players must turn in an entry form by January 22nd to hold their spot. on
a first come first serve basis; once the tournament is full there are no exceptions.
Players may place their names on a waiting list if this occurs. Once tournament
makes, payment is due and accepted on Wednesday, JAN. 23RD -TUESDAY, JANUARY
29TH by 6:00 pm. IF NO PAYMENT IS RECEIVED FROM THE REGISTERED PLAYER, HE/SHE
WILL BE ELIMINATED FROM THE TOURNAMENT. |
Tournament Information:
The tournament type is a single game of eight-ball
call your shots. To decide who shoots first
players will shoot a lag shot. With the balls
in hand behind the head string, one player
to the left and one to the right of the head
spot, the balls are shot simultaneously to
the foot cushion and back to the head end
of the table. The player whose ball is the
closest to the innermost edge of the head
cushion wins the lag. The lagged ball must
contact the foot cushion at least once. The
player winning the lag or lot has the choice
of performing the opening break shot or assigning
it to the opponent. Players will play one
game of eight-ball or until 25 minutes has
expired. Player with the least amount of
balls on the table advances. NON REC MEMBERS
WILL RECEIVE A WRIST BAND AT CHECK IN TO
BE WORN WHILE PARTICIPATING IN THIS ACTIVITY.
ALL NON REC MEMBER PARTICIPANTS ARE PROHIBITED
FROM USING THE FACILITY, EXCEPT FOR THE LEISURE
GAME AREA DURING THIS EVENT. Winner receives
a championship t-shirt and takes a picture
for our Recreation Sports championship wall
for all to see as well as bragging rights!
Billiards tournament is either a single elimination
or consolation tournament depending on the
number of entries and will run approx. 1-4
days. Games are played on Wednesday and Thursday
nights from 6:00 - 9:30pm until the tournament
is completed. All games will be played at
the UT Recreation Center, located off of
Knight Road near the TMC entrance sign 54.
