Registration & Captain’s
Meeting:Registration opens Monday, February 18th,
2008. Registration form & Payment must be turned in @
the Recreation Center by or before Tuesday, March 18th @
6:00p.m. Teams who register early have the best opportunity
to specify which time works best for their first game. Since
there is limited number of teams per division, priority is
on a first registered/first paid basis.
All team captains must attend the captain’s meeting on Wednesday,
March 19th @ 6.00 p.m. at the UT- Recreation Center in classroom
A. During the managers meeting, one representative from each
team will receive league information, rules, as well as a
mock schedule to ensure any unforeseen
scheduling conflicts can be resolved or avoided. A FINAL
SCHEDULE WILL BE E-MAILED TO EACH TEAM CAPTAIN AS WELL AS
POSTED IN THE RECREATION CENTER Friday, March 21st BY 12:00
NOON.

Cost
to Play:$75 for UTHSC-H Student & Recreation
Members Teams, $100 for all Other Teams (must be affiliated
with UT/TMC). Fee includes officials, game balls, pinnies
and awards. The league minimum is 8 teams (4 Men’s /4 Women’s)
and maximum is 16 Men’s & 8 Women’s teams. Full payment
must accompany registration form and is due by or before
6pm March 18th to be eligible.
Tournament Information: All teams
must have a minimum 75% of students or employees
UTHSC-H or an affiliated TMC Institution. Each
team must have a minimum of four eligible players,
with a maximum of 10 eligible players per team
roster. All players must be at least 18 years of
age to
play.
NON REC MEMBERS WILL RECEIVE A WRIST BAND
AT CHECK IN TO BE WORN WHILE PARTICIPATING IN THIS
ACTIVITY. ALL NON REC MEMBER PARTICIPANTS ARE PROHIBITED
FROM USING THE FACILITY, EXCEPT FOR THE COURT GAME
AREA DURING THIS EVENT.
The 5 on 5 basketball tournament will be played
with actual officials and time clocks. ALL TEAMS
ARE GUARNTEED TWO GAMES! The 5 on 5 basketball
tournament will be either a double elimination
or consolation tournament. Teams are encouraged
to provide there own uniforms with numbers. All
players on their respected teams must have the
same color t-shirts/jersey’s. Pinnies are available
to teams if they do not have proper attire or matching
color t-shirts. Teams will not play SHIRTS VS.
SKINS if they are not prepared. All players must
play with proper basketball attire. Games will
consist of two 15 minute halves & a
5 minute half time with 1 time out per half. The
game will follow high school regulations. (see
rules) The 5 on 5 Basketball tournament will run
approx. 1-4
days depending on the number of teams. Games are
played on Wednesday & Thursday nights beginning
@ 6:30 last game is 9:00 pm.
All games will be
played at the UT Recreation Center outdoor basketball
courts, located off of Knight Road near the TMC
entrance sign 54.
